A brief history of SABMA

The South African Black Mining Association NPC (The SABMA) is a voluntary organisation that was formed by a group of black entrepreneurs , miners and suppliers to the mining industry who are facing major challenges in the sector, with the sole intent to support and empower the Black and Emerging Mining sector in South Africa. As this industry serves as an important catalyst of economic growth, creator of foreign direct investment, foreign remittances and is a key job creator in South Africa, we believe there is a dire need for a united, passionate and specific voice to duly represent the industry.

We are committed to the development of programs to promote social responsibility and economic growth, to provide networking opportunities and access to likeminded professionals and to positively contribute to the relationship between the community and the sector.

The SABMA is also duly affiliated to Small Business Forums and Institutions that provide members with access to several regional business chambers as well as providing our members with access to platforms like BUSA, Nafcoc and more.
